Edgecases is a soundwalk that invites participants to listen into the layered borderscapes of Basel (acoustic, electronic, magnetic, radio). Moving through these environments with a specially designed listening system (developed by Tim Shaw), participants encounter live sonic events shaped by infrastructure, surveillance and human and non-human activity. Edgecases attempts to open up new ways of sensing and understanding border spaces beyond what is immediately visible.
