new director: Prof. Alexander Honold
We are delighted to welcome Prof. Alexander Honold as the new Director of the Forum Basiliense! He will take over the management of the Forum from our founding director Prof. Oliver Nachtwey on May 1, 2024. Together with the Forum's Scientific Advisory Board, Prof. Nachtwey was responsible for selecting the first group of Junior and Senior Fellows currently researching and working on the topic of "Freedom" at the University of Basel. Under his leadership, the Forum was founded and established and was officially opened in fall 2023 with a lecture by the renowned political scientist Lea Ypi. We would like to thank Prof. Oliver Nachtwey for his dedication and prudence in laying the foundation for the Forum. We are delighted that he will continue to be involved in the Forum Basiliense as a member of the Advisory Board.
