SUMMARY:Early Career Workshop with Ricarda Winkelmann: Research of/in the A

DESCRIPTION:Ricarda Winkelmann is a Professor of Climate System Analysis at
  the University of Potsdam and founding director of the Max Planck Institu
 te of Geoanthropology. Her research aims to examine the resilience of the 
 Earth System in the Anthropocene\, identify tipping points\, and explore s
 tability landscapes of critical geophysical\, ecological and societal comp
 onents. She won numerous honors and awards\, including the 2018 Academics
 ’ Young Scientist of the Year Award by Zeit Publishing Group.\\r\\nIn th
 is workshop\, Ricarda Winkelmann invites Early Career Scholars (at PhD\, p
 ostdoc\, and Assistant Professor level) from all faculties and academic di
 sciplines to a conversation about (interdisciplinary) Earth System science
 \, how best to communicate societally relevant research to the general pub
 lic\, as well as tips and tricks on how to navigate the early career stage
 s of the academic journey. The workshop will be interactive and dynamic\, 
 with ample opportunities for questions and answers.\\r\\nIf you are intere
